Police in Bulawayo are investigating the circumstances under which a dead man was stripped naked and was found with stab wounds in the city’s Queens Park suburb on Friday.
Residents suspect the man was killed by armed robbers and his body was found in a bush close to a black Nissan Terrano car stuck in a trench on the side of Queens Road.
A Queens Park resident, Ian Edwards, said he heard a gunshot in his neighbourhood on Thursday evening.
Bulawayo police spokesperson Mandlenkosi Moyo said the body had multiple stab wounds but denied reports it had a gunshot wound.
“The body had multiple stab wounds and was found close to a vehicle,” he said.
