MBABANE As exclusively revealed by this publication some months ago, Green Mamba have reinforced their technical bench by acquiring the services of experienced Zimbabwean football coach Lloyd Mutasa.

The coach finally got down to business at the Correctional Services outfit during their international practice match in Maputo, Mozambique, yesterday. He has been roped in to assist the team in the upcoming Confederation of African Football (Caf) Champions League tournament.

The reigning MTN Premier League champions will play their opener in the continental showpiece against Zimbabwes FC Platinum at Somhlolo Stadium on Sunday.

Mutasa, who last coached top Zimbabwean elite league outfit Dynamos FC late last year, agreed terms with Green Mamba over the weekend and would assist the Francis Banda-led technical bench for the duration of the Caf games.

The teams spokesperson Vusi Kunene also confirmed the appointment of the experienced coach but was quick to stress that he would temporarily be in charge.

Mutasa boasts of immeasurable experience, so we are hopeful his presence will be valuable to the team. He is here to help in the Caf campaign and will assist the current technical bench, Kunene said briefly.
