The Indian Embassy has set in motion plans to set up a consular in Bulawayo on a trial basis.

In a statement, the embassy said the consular camp would be set up next month.

“The Embassy of India is planning to set up a consular camp in Bulawayo on a trial basis, sometime in March. The exact dates will be communicated in due course,” the statement reads.

The consular office would provide services such as the acceptance of application for renewal of passports, acceptance of Person of India Origin (PIO) applications, acceptance of Overseas Citizenship of India applications, acceptance of visa applications as well as miscellaneous consular services such as birth registration and entries of new passport numbers to PIO cards.

The main offices of the embassy are in Harare.
