When it appeared things were falling back into place at Dynamos, the ghost of disorder seems to have returned at the Harare football giants.

Dynamos players have for the past two days boycotted training over outstanding bonuses. They are also protesting over what they have termed dishonesty by the club’s executive.

The players have not reported for duty since their return from an unsuccessful expedition in Bulawayo where they were beaten by Hwange 2-1 in the Bob88 Super semi-final on Sunday.

The team was supposed to start routine training with a Tuesday morning session, but it failed to take off.

They were not at their training ground again yesterday. Players who spoke to NewsDay Sport yesterday on condition of anonymity said they were not happy with the empty promises they were getting from the executive.

“We were given part of our bonuses for winning the league and promised to be paid the rest before the end of last month. All the players who participated in the league were supposed to get bonuses, but we were given $100 only at the beginning of the month. We have tried to talk to the club through the captain so that we can get the rest of the money, but it seems the captain (George Magariro) himself has his own problems with the club. He has not received his signing-on fee so he is reluctant to act on our behalf.

“The biggest problem we have is that the executive is not being honest with us. They keep promising us heaven, but most of the time they don’t deliver,” said one player.

Team manager Richard Chihoro dismissed the players’ utterances saying all players were given a week off as their coaches were attending a coaching course.

“The truth of the matter is that all the players were given a week off because the coaches are participating in a coaching course at Rufaro Stadium. The coaching course is going on for a week so there was no one to train the players. We tried to talk to a fitness trainer so that he can train the boys while the coaches are away, but we couldn’t agree on the fee. We addressed the players on Tuesday on that issue and I can assure you that everyone will be back at training on Monday morning,” said Chihoro.

While Chihoro was downplaying the issue, another player said: “Obviously the team manager is trying to cover up for the executive, but I can tell you that there is a crisis at the club.

“We haven’t received our signing-on fees for contracts that we signed before the end of last year.
