Soccer Coaches’ Union of Zimbabwe president Moses Chunga might be heading for Castle Lager Premier Soccer League returnees Buffaloes as the technical adviser.

An official at Buffaloes confirmed Chunga met with the club administrators in Mutare on Monday.

Chunga is currently unattached as his future at Gunners had become uncertain following reports that he had fallen out with the club hierarchy over a number of issues although Gunners chairman Obert Chunga indicated that they were considering giving Bambo a shareholding stake in the team.

The deal at Buffaloes is highly likely to materialise according to impeccable sources in Mutare. Chunga is expected to beef up the army side’s technical department which has former Buffaloes player Shadreck Magurasave and his deputy Sicho Masachi, who are currently in the capital for a Zifa coaching clinic.

Mutare businessman and Buffaloes secretary-general Tendai Chitowa confirmed the development.

“Yes, we met Moses Chunga on Monday at a local hotel for the interview. The issue was about him coming here as the technical adviser of Buffaloes. We are still discussing the issue with him. We are yet to reach an agreement with him. We will let you know in due course,” he said.
