When Sandra Ndebele first shared the stage with pole dancer Beverly Sibanda she admitted the flexible dancers acts were a bit beyond the norm.

Although she did not ultimately condemn Beverly, she said it was her first time to see the dances in Zimbabwe and questioned the morality of such erotic moves.

With the growing popularity of pole dancing in the capital, Ndebele is likely to see worse suggestive moves when she performs with Sibanda and another pole dancer, Zoey Sifelani, at City Sports Bar tomorrow.

The show is likely to be packed considering the numbers that have been flocking to various joints in the capital to watch pole dancers.

Zoey and Beverly have fast gained a following for their revealing acts that have proved extremely popular with male fans.

Zoey claims she is one of the best dancers in the country.

There have been competitions around the country and I have come out tops everywhere I have performed. I am the one who trained the majority of pole dancers in Harare, said Zoey. I do pole, chair, table and lap dancing. That is what men want and that is where the money comes from.

On the other hand, Beverly feels she has something different to offer.

I am different from most dancers. My routines are sexy and my attire is usually revealing, but I am not a stripper. Dancing is my life and I am not ashamed, said Beverly.

So, when Sandra meets the two pole dancers and their groups tomorrow it will be an event close to a contest. Sandra takes herself as a mature dancer whose major role is now to groom young dancers because she has been in the industry for a long time.

She says she is professional and not merely a dancer, but a musician who has released albums and plays her own songs unlike many dancers that depend on other musicians material.
