A senior Bulawayo police officer is accused of supplying dangerous drugs to five drug addicts, possession of pornographic material and failure to properly secure his service firearm.
It is alleged that between November and July this year, Assistant Comissioner Dereck Matsika supplied five drug addicts with Pethidine, a dangerous drug only consumed under supervision.
The top cop was allegedly found in possession of pornographic material during his arrest. Matsika has not yet been formally asked to plead to five counts of contravening the Dangerous Drugs Act, Entertainment and Censorship Act and Firearms Act.
He was remanded to next Tuesday on $100 bail.
