CHIMANIMANI An altercation involving two men over the choice of music loaded on a mobile phone memory card ended tragically after one of the men fatally stabbed his colleague in the abdomen using a kitchen knife.

The incident occurred at Tilbury Estate in Chimanimani on January 22 after Rekai Sithole was allegedly infuriated over comments made by Tawanda Mangezimana over his choice of music.

It is alleged that on the day at around 4pm, Mangezimana went to Sitholes homestead with the intention of loading his memory card with music.

Mangezimana did not approve of the type of music that had been put on his card.

The two exchanged harsh words, which degenerated into a serious altercation.

Acting Manicaland police spokesperson Sergeant Muzondiwa Clean confirmed the incident.

Mangezimana bled heavily and his intestines protruded after the incident.

He attempted to walk, but before he could get away from Sitholes homestead he fell and died instantly, Clean said.

A neighbour, Newton Manjoro, reported the attack to security guards at the estate.

The farm guards later arrested the suspect and handed him over to police.

Police said Sithole was assisting them with investigations and would soon be brought to court facing murder charges.
