An explosive encounter is on the cards between Soccer Coaches Union of Zimbabwe (Scuz) and Manicaland-based football coaches at Sakubva Stadium today. Scuz president Moses Chunga confirmed the development yesterday.

Yes, tomorrow (today) we will play soccer coaches from Manicaland at Sakubva Stadium.l know it is going to be a tough match as we are expecting a tough challenge.

l also believe this will further strengthen our ties. The Northern Region side has the likes of Lloyd Chitembwe, Brenna Msika, Masimba Dinyero and many others, he said.

His counterpart in Manicaland, former Highway goalkeepers coach Peter Masibhera who is organising the match said: We have prepared everything for this match.

A number of retired players who are now coaches are willing to play this match. We have the likes of Shadreck Magurasave, Sicho Masachi, Price Tafirenyika, Brian Mukundu, Steven Chinhengo and many others.

In December, Scuz hosted two matches at Gwanzura and Luveve Stadium in Harare and Bulawayo respectively against coaches in the Southern Region.

The new organisation has emerged as the real voice of coaches in the country, moreso for those who felt sidelined by the Bhekimpilo Nyoni-led Zimbabwe Soccer Coaches Association.

Last week, they secured medical aid for coaches across the country for the next six months for free.
