The 2011 Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (Zimsec) Advanced Level results are out. In a statement yesterday, Zimsec director Happy Ndanga said the results had been dispatched to all Zimsec regional offices countrywide.

Ndanga advised all heads of A Level examination centres to collect the results from their regional offices starting today, and candidates to check for their results with their respective centres thereafter.

The early release of results comes as a result of the fact that the examinations were written without any disruptions in both the time-tabled dates as well as supervision by the respective examination centres.

This was also complemented by the introduction of a new system of marking, the Belt Marking System (where about four examiners attend to a single paper), which introduced speed, accuracy and consistency in the whole marking exercise, Ndanga said.
