The curtain will be coming down on the year 2011 in style with yet another dance with Jamaican artists Red Rat and Bahamas Pascalle, popularly known as the Pop Princess in dancehall circles, on New Year’s Eve at Red Fox Hotel in Greendale.

This New Year’s Eve party has been dubbed, “The Bust Down” and will see local dancehall artists take to the stage, curtain-raising for the headline acts and these include Kivo Santana, Badmaan Gwaans, Garry B, Swagga Daddy and the Red Fox Sound.

Tony’s Nite Spot (Portugal Restaurant — Pensão)
Located at corner Samora Machel Avenue and Eighth Street, Pensão is the place to be for party-loving clubbers.

Tomorrow, be there for the launch of the new-look Top Deck extension of the nightclub with hard dancehall, conscious, hip-hop and ragga vibes from resident DJs Gerry, Slow and Symphk — guaranteed to rock you all night long. Open-air braai is on 24/7 and ice-cold beverages are available.

The hideout will explode to life with a performance Leonard Zhakata in a New Year’s Eve Party.

The Basement
Reggae lovers will tomorrow have a New Year’s Eve Party rocking to sounds of one of the leading sound systems, Redemption Sound selecting latest old skool and conscious vibes alongside Trevor Hall aka Ras Jabu.

The Mannenberg
One of Zimbabwe’s long-serving dancehall bands, The Transit Crew, will be belting out live music alongside one of the fashionable Shangara outfits, Chikwata 263, tomorrow evening.

This is set to be Transit Crew’s last Saturday weekly shows at this venue since The Mannenberg will be closing down after tomorrow’s events.

Book Café
Once again mbira songstress Chiwoniso Maraire will be featuring Ba Shupi and have her last dance with her fans at the once-vibrant venue the Book Café since it is also scheduled to close with The Mannenberg.

City Sports Bar
City Sports Bar will tomorrow host three musicians, Peter Moyo, Douglas Chimbetu and Allan Chimbetu, in yet another New Year’s Eve Party which is set to bring the curtain down on the year 2011.

Jazz 105
Jazz sensation Victor Kunonga and Peace Band will take the fans through their paces into a New Year with a soothing jazz touch at one of the ceremonial jazz venues tomorrow.

Chitungwiza Aquatic Complex.
Sungura ace Alick Macheso together with Peter Moyo, son to the late Tongai “Dhewa” Moyo, will conquer the city of Chitungwiza and probably take the fans down memory lane in honour of the late sungura star when they perform at the Aquatic Complex tomorrow.

Amakhosi Cultural Centre
Afro-jazz musician Bothwell “Bozoe” Nkomo launches his album Udumo today at 2pm. Nkomo has previously performed at the Harare International Festival of the Arts and in South Africa.

Queens Sports Ground
South African house music disc jockey Cndo will perform tonight at the venue at a Bohlingers Tight Party show. The show kicks off at 4pm. Former radio presenter Otis Fraser will also perform. There will be lots of games at the outdoor event.

Walkers Pub
Enter the New Year in style by attending the Miss Walkers modelling contest at the venue tomorrow as from 6pm. There will be five locally-based disc jockeys on rotation as well as a guest DJ from the United Kingdom.

Paparazzi Sports Dinner
Tomorrow evening, there is the Battle of the MCees show. Disc jockeys that will take part include Joe Tha OG, Lacusto, Cally Dee, Emity Smooth, Flex and Zet.

Tonight, as from 8pm, there is the Last Friday of the Year Party featuring DJs Kaninjo, Slammer and Ndebele Rockstar.

Join others and celebrate the dawn of a New Year at the venue. Starting at 8pm, there is the New Year’s Eve Bash featuring Slammer, Kaninjo and Ndebele Rockstar.

Tonight, starting at 7pm there is the Friday Jam featuring. Tomorrow evening Marcus Andro presents the Countdown Party.
Wild Thing Action Bar (Victoria Falls)
Tomorrow evening, there is the Mother of All Parties featuring Mellow T and Eazy T. The show starts at 9pm.
