MDC leader Welshman Ncube yesterday said President Robert Mugabe has no capacity to get Zimbabwe out of the mess that he and his party, Zanu PF, have created.

Addressing about 900 party supporters at Stanley Square in Bulawayo’s Makokoba township, Ncube said President Mugabe did not have the energy to get rid of his mess.

“Chatunga’s father at his party’s recent conference said he will not leave when Zimbabwe is in a mess,” he said.

“This after 30 years of the mess that he is responsible for, the mess that has not stopped, but continues day by day!

“If it is your mess, what makes you think that today you can clean it up yet you failed to do so in 30 years?

“Where will you get that power with those arms? “How will you solve the mess when you struggle to get into a plane?

“Where will you be coming from to think (President) Mugabe can end this mess?”

Ncube said putting hope in President Mugabe and MDC-T president Morgan Tsvangirai was like “buying an ox and thinking that it will mate with your cow”.

He said at a recent rally in Plumtree Tsvangirai was “crying that I should not talk about him”.

“Why is he panicking? We speak about (President) Mugabe day in and day out and he has never said we should not talk about him.

“Tsvangirai wrote a 600-page book talking about Ncube.

“If you want to rule Zimbabwe, we have the right to talk about you until you leave the ring.

“If you do not want us to do that, why don’t you follow Lorcadia (Tembo, the woman Tsvangirai is alleged to have married) and sit down.”

Ncube urged his supporters to brace themselves for elections “as Mugabe will plant thorns on the path”.

“Do not think going for an election would be like going to a wedding.

“Zanu PF knows no other way. If they say Zanu PF ndeyeropa (was born out of blood), they won’t be lying.”
