YAOUNDE — The Cameroon football federation disciplinary committee has meted unprecedented sanctions against Indomitable Lions skipper Samuel Eto’o, his deputy Eyong Enoh and Benoit Assou Ekotto.

SuperSport.com can exclusively reveal Eto’o and Eyong will receive seven and four-match bans respectively for their alleged implication in the protest action that stopped the Lions from honouring a friendly in Algiers, while Assou Ekotto goes home with a three-match ban for failing to respond to several calls to don the national team colours.

The committee, which held its hearings on Monday in Yaounde, received among others, Eto’o, Fecafoot vice-president Francis Mveng, coach Denis Lavagne and his deputy Ntoungou Mpile. Eyong (who was represented by his lawyer) and Assou Ekotto were absent at the summons.
