YAOUNDE — Samuel Eto’o, who attended the cup of Cameroon finals in which Cotonsport snatched its fifth title from Unisport of Bafang, became the centre of attraction as a crowd hovered around him at the end of the match.

Hiding behind a woman, he progressed towards the waiting car when the crowd suddenly covered him. It took bodyguards some time to get through the crowd, which was preventing Eto’o from getting past.

Eto’o is in Cameroon for the hearing following the players’ strike action in Marrakech and their refusal to play the friendly with Algeria.

The hearing was postponed at the request of Samuel Eto’o and Eyong Enoh who wished to be present for the hearing.

A release at the federation’s site read, “At the request of the players who wish to be present and defend themselves at the hearing, the disciplinary committee meeting, initially billed for November 24, has been postponed to December 12 at 11am (yesterday).”

Assou Ekotto and Eyong Enoh were also expected for the hearing.
