MDC-T Chief Whip Innocent Gonese, former Zanu PF provincial chairman Jacob Mudenda and Angela Mahlamvana-Tofa from MDC have been appointed to chair the Copac technical committee which will assist drafters in the writing of the country’s new constitution, NewsDay can reveal.

According to a Copac document in NewsDay’s possession, other members of the technical committee include Zimbabwe Mining Development Corporation chairman Godwills Masimirembwa, MDC-T deputy national chairperson Morgan Komichi and University of Zimbabwe lecturer John Makumbe.

Rapporteurs who are assisting the technical committee include Cecilia Chimbiri, Isabel Chioniso, Thandiwe Gosha, Virginia Makana, Theresa Muchovo, Peter Mukuchamano, Matambo Ngoma, Paul Vurayai and Bishop Morris Brown Gwedegwe.
