Miss Tourism Zimbabwe, Rumbidzai Mudzengerere, and Miss Bulawayo/Miss Talent Zimbabwe, Nadia Gori, will both leave for China and Malaysia on December 9 where they will represent the country at two international pageants.

Mudzengerere will participate at the Miss Tourism Queen International pageant to be held in China on December 27 while Gori will take part at the Miss Tourism International beauty pageant to be held in Malaysia on New Year’s Eve.

Mudzengerere will participate in a pageant at the Qujiang International Exhibition Centre in Xian, China while Gori will take part in a pageant held at the Sunway Resort Hotel and Spa in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The two models will get a lifetime opportunity to network with others and tour different parts of the host countries.

Miss Tourism Zimbabwe will have to battle it out with 69 other models drawn from different parts of the world while Gori will compete with 55 other beauties.

On her preparations for the international pageant, Mudzengerere has been groomed by her former modelling agency, ZimGossip Models, while Shamaika brand are working on her portfolio as well as garments.

The beauty said she was excited to be representing the country at an internationally-recognised event.

“It is always a good feeling to represent your country for anything.

“I will do my best and definitely raise the country’s flag high just like Malaika and Lisa did,” she said.

Zimbabwe’s prolific sculptor, Dominic Benhura, did an artistic piece for Mudzengerere to present as a national gift for auctioning at the Miss Tourism Queen International finals.

The sculpture, which she has called “Welcome to Zimbabwe” portrays a Zimbabwean lady with the national flag on her chest.

Gori, on the other hand, said she was ready to face competition at the pageant.
