Black Rhinos look set to walk away with the Women’s Football Super League title after they beat bitter rivals and Bulawayo giants New Orleans 3-2 at Raylton Sports Club on Saturday.

However, they face a daunting task as they are still to meet Inline Academy who beat Cosa Guruve 7-0 at Sikhulile Secondary on the same day.

Shupi Juwawo grabbed a brace while Rutendo Makore weighed in with one goal for Black Rhinos.

Hosts, New Orleans, got their goals through Nokuthula Ndlovu and Nobukhosi Ncube. The victory ensured the Harare side maintained its impressive unbeaten run in the league.

Black Rhinos coach Waddington Chinya-anya was ecstatic over their continued fine run in the league.

“We are now left with one game against Inline Academy. We have been playing very well and worked very hard. That is contributing to our impressive record of going unbeaten in the league,” he said.

They have won 13 games and drawn four times, and have collected 43 points while New Orleans remain on position four with 33 points in 18 games. In other matches, Faith Drive’s woes continued when they lost 3-2 to Masvingo Queens at Sakubva Stadium.
