Alfred Musharukwa, a little -known musician, has released a new DVD comprising three tracks.

The first song, Pembebererai, is a track that Musharukwa says urges people to be merry whenever they achieve their goals.

“People should always be happy when something good happens in their lives. It might be a soccer team that has won or even when a child passes in school,” said Musharukwa.

The second video, Tserewende, is a jit song that is also on his latest album.

The last track is Nhasi Ndafara, with a video recorded in 2010. It came number 50 on ZBC’s top 50 videos for that same year.

Though largely unknown to the outside world, Musharukwa is not new to the musical scene as he has five albums to his name and has vast experience in traditional mbira rhythms.

During the infancy of his musical career he used to play at various tourist destinations in Victoria Falls resort town.

Before pursuing a solo career, Musharukwa used to play for his uncle, the late Ephat Mujuru, before the latter died in 2001.

Musharukwa is also a property specialist.
