Devotion: Flow in your time

Life exists in time zones, seasons, levels, stages and dimensions. Seasons in the northern hemisphere differ from those in the southern hemisphere.

When the sun is rising at one point, it is setting somewhere.

If you are reading this at 10:00am, someone somewhere is reading it now at 12:00am another one at 6:00pm depending on location.

Your time zone and locus therefore is peculiar to you. This is so in our lives, but some people get intimidated, challenged and discouraged for belonging to a particular zone and location.

The positive forward-looking ones adapt and excel in their time. You have to flow in your time like the children of Issachar in 1 Chronicles 12:32: “And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times.”

The starting point is to leave evil location by giving your life to Christ. For those already in Christ, they have to begin to live from faith to faith and from glory to glory.

You don’t sulk when your neighbour moves on, but celebrate with them. Don’t be bitter that you are not married; attend their weddings.

I know people that have sworn they will never attend a wedding until they get married. Stop grieving. Celebrate with those on the next stage and they will pull you up. At times God blesses your neighbour to test your sincerity.

We all need to respect and appreciate the zones and stages that our neighbours are in. Those that need to be pulled, unfold your hands and do not be too proud to receive help and those that are assisting, be humble and sincere enough.

Look at this example. You may be playing some piece of music and give someone a lift and their phone rings and you lower the volume to accommodate them.

Then they turn your car into their office and begin to make calls without end. In the kombi some people make calls to make sure you know they are big and important.

They give orders and instructions to non-existent subordinates. Then there are those that want you to like their music.

Thanks to the flooding of the market with dual sim card phones which seem to have in-built public address systems and subwoofers.

We serve a just God. He gives everyone of us opportunity to make it in life. King Solomon knew it and said in Ecclesiastes 9:11: “I returned and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong. Neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.”

None is excluded from acquiring wealth. Your preparedness and the way you see life will spell out your acceptance of your moment. Never miss your moment.

You may spend the rest of your life crying. There are some people that think they were born to suffer. Let me speak to the unmarried. In your lifetime God sends you a spouse, but if you cannot read the times, you miss out.

Strategically position yourself. When the door opens, jump in. Know the thing to do in a season and the time for the purpose. Ecclesiastes 3:1, makes it clear: “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”

Please read the verse correctly. It does not read: “There is a time to everything.” If opportunity is availed to you, hang out with your role models. Leave gossipers that are not going anywhere. All they tell you is how difficult it is. Flow with those that do not accept no for an answer.

As you acquire riches, please make sure they are from the Lord. You are better off lodging or renting and without a car than getting them from the devil.

He will require payment one day. A fellow pastor recently called me to his place to give him counsel.

He is a very rich man who acquired wealth through witchcraft and wanted to surrender his ill gotten wealth.

The man was living in hell I tell you. He wanted to surrender all those things to the church in exchange for peace.

The items included a mansion, two top-of-the-range cars and hard cash. I warn you, use the due processes of acquiring wealth.

Allow the rain to soak you as you catch a lift home where the landlord is waiting to grill you. Your time will come. Everyone has come through the ranks. Here it from me.
