Supporters, players mourn Dynamos fans

The Zimbabwe National Soccer Supporters’ Association (ZNSSA) says it is available to assist the Dynamos family following the death of six fans after an accident last Sunday.

The fans were travelling from Bulawayo to Zvishavane for the FC Platinum/Dynamos league match.

The accident occurred at the 200km peg along the Bulawayo-Masvingo Road when the commuter omnibus carrying 14 passengers burst its left rear tyre and overturned, killing one person on the spot.

The other person died on admission at Filabusi Hospital on the fateful day. Another person died at the medical facility after he was admitted on Sunday while two others died on Tuesday from injuries sustained.

“We sympathise with the Dynamos family and the families of the deceased and we say may their souls rest in peace. We will assist in whatever way possible during these difficult times,” said ZNSSA leader Eddie Nyatanga.

Condolences from players:

Murape Murape: To all you, our departed faithful Dynamos supporters, may your souls rest in eternal peace. We dedicate our remaining game to you and we hope to win the league and the Mbada Diamonds Cup in your honour

Martin Vengesayi: We will forever cherish the work and love that you showed when you still with us. We will forever love you. May your souls rest in peace

Denver Mukamba: Rest in peace to our fans who lost their lives on their way to Mandava. To the relatives we are with you in sorrow.

Archford Gutu: My condolence to the families of Dynamos fans who died may their blue souls rest in peace.
