A 40-year-old man from Hwange, Nesbert Muzarewethu, who has been operated on 16 times and had his colon removed, is seeking assistance of at least $4 000 to undergo yet another operation.

Muzarewethu told NewsDay this week that he had developed a strange growth on his lower abdomen which doctors have recommended be removed to save his life.

The growth has been diagnosed as a Desmoid tumour.

“I am seeking assistance because I no longer have anywhere to go.

“I have no funds to foot the bill for the operation, that is why I am asking for assistance.

“I owe money to some hospitals because of my condition. The costs have become too much,” Muzarewethu said.

“I have had all these operations since 2007 and have come to a point where I cannot pay for the bills.

“I have not even paid my rentals for the past three months because all my meagre earnings are going towards medication,” he added.

Muzarewethu is employed as a clerk at a local food processing company.

Those willing to assist can contact him on 0778 130 281, 0773566882 or deposit money into his CBZ bank account number 10422490890010.
