Sports Diner International Peter Moyo, son of the late Tongai “Dhewa” Moyo will have his first public gig in Harare as leader of Utakataka Express tonight at the Sports Diner. The event has been dubbed “Quad 11” after the date and time of the show. Peter is expected to go on stage at 11pm on a date written in short as 11/11/11. Eleven minutes and eleven seconds into Peter’s performance the time at date will be 11.11.11pm on 11/11/11. This only happens once every 100 years.

Arcadia Sports Club Delta Beverages will tomorrow afternoon host a Carling Black Label Beer Festival at Arcadia Sports club. There will also be a pool and darts tournament. Harare’s top DJs will play music at the event where lots of cold beers will be served.

Tony’s Nite Spot (Portugal Restaurant-Pensão) Located at corner Samora Machel Avenue and Eighth Street, Pensão is the place to be for party-loving clubbers. Open-air braai is available 24/7 as well as a wide range of ice-cold beverages. Tonight and every Friday all-female dance group the Blue Virgins wow revellers their exotic, sensual dance routines. This and every Saturday, tune in for hard dancehall, conscious, lover’s rock, salsa and current club vibes in “Caribbean Nights” with resident DJs Gerry, Slow and Symphk. Upper Lounge Located at the Rhodesville Shopping centre, the Upper Lounge will tonight host the Friday Nite Life event featuring DJs Flevah and Storm. The dress code to the event is strictly smart casual.

7Arts Theatre A VIP Concert featuring Oliver Mtukudzi and Chiwoniso Maraire takes place at 7Arts Theatre in Avondale tomorrow. The show targets elite music fans and tickets will be going for $30 and $40.

Keg and Maiden Located at the Harare Sports Club, the venue will present a Miller Friday party. During the event, a promotion will see revellers that purchase a six-pack of Miller standing a chance to win an iPod, BlackBerry, digital cameras, headphones or a monthly supply of a case of Miller for 12 months.

Lime Bar Situated in the Rolf Valley, the Lime Bar will tonight host a “Friday Nite Experience” with Harare’s finest DJs T-Bass and P-Styles (Bass & Styles). They will be backed by NR Ent.

Food World The Food World Supermarket which is situated at the corner Robert Mugabe Road and Enterprise Road will tomorrow afternoon host a battle of the DJs. The event is free for all aspiring DJs who are aged 25 and below. There will be guest appearances by DJs D-Nice, D-Vine, The Dude and Trickx featuring Hi Definition, House of Stone and Stunner.

Extra Mile Leisure Centre Alick Macheso and Tryson Chimbetu perform at Extra Mile tonight before going to Galactica Club in Braeside tomorrow and Harare Gardens for a show on Sunday.

BULAWAYO Horizon Tonight, join Drums of Peace and Jeys Marabini with Kozekulunge Band starting 6pm. Tribal house music outfit, Djembe Monks will also perform.

Mbalabala Primary School The jikinya traditional dance competition will be held at Mbalabala Primary School today starting at 9am. All districts in Matabeleland South province will be represented in primary school choral and traditional dance competition finals co-ordinated by the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe in partnership with the National Primary School heads.

Invunu Bar (Victoria Falls) Tonight, from 6pm, join DJ Francis for a mixed bag of music at the popular resort town nightspot. Francis returns again tomorrow at the same time.

Elite 400 Tomorrow evening, starting at 5pm, there will be Harvest House International Church Hosanna Choir that will be performing live. Also featuring will be soloists, Reggie and Sindiso as well as groups such as Family Voices and the Conquerors. Bulawayo Theatre Tomorrow evening, Alliance Française de Bulawayo in partnership with Teasdale Group, brings the French juggling production called Linea. The juggling show features Cie Sens Dessus-Dessous and is composed of two jugglers. It involves playing with the spectators’ imagination. Linea consists of dancing and juggling between puppets, poetry and humour.
