Zimbabwe’s Finest Dance Group (ZFDG) will in December host their “Early Christmas Give Back Party” in Musana Mashonaland Central Province.

The event will be held annually with the aim of giving orphaned and vulnerable children in local communities memorable entertainment.

“We are a dance company that not only organises and creates platforms for our dancers to shine, but also reaches out to the less privileged, vulnerable and orphaned children in our societies, with dance as our vehicle,” said ZFDG director, Adonis Muronzi.

Muronzi said the event would be free for anyone who wished to give the orphaned children a splendid day and the group will perform at the event.

He said each child would on that day receive a special gift while there would be lots of food for everyone present and free entertainment to make it a memorable event.

“We are also inviting various church organisations, corporates and any other people who care for orphans and are passionate about their well-being and happiness,” said Muronzi.

ZFDG made a major breakthrough for the local hip-hop dance industry from the begging of this year as they conducted some of the biggest dance battles in the capital and other parts of the country. The group has out some of the country’s most talented dance outfits which they scouted from various cities including Mutare, Bulawayo, Chitungwiza and Gweru.

Muronzi congratulated local dance group Zina for excelling at the recently held Strictly Hip-hop Competition in South Africa where the group came fourth out of competitors from 37 countries.

Muronzi said next year they would rise to another level by introducing the “South Africa vs Zimbabwe Face Off Battles” featuring different groups from the two countries.

He said the winners would take a journey to the World Hip-hop Las Vegas competitions in the United States.
