GN Events Management Company that was formed by two Amakhosi Performing Arts Academy students will on the first of December hold a talent search programme at the institution.

Nqobizitha Muvunzi, one of the students and founder member of GN Events told NewsDay in an interview the talent search was meant to enlist the services of “talented” individuals that they would work with at the beginning of next year.

“We will be looking for 20 people that we will work with next year in all forms of art such as the performing, literary and visual arts,” said Muvunzi. His partner at GN Events is Geraldine Mangwena. He said GN Events had discovered “there is a lot of untapped talent in the city”.

The talent search comes hot on the heels of yet another GN Events programme held in October at Amakhosi Theatre.

They held a singing contest featuring five music groups based in Bulawayo.

“The contest was successful. We now want to expand the contest and search for more talent as we believe there are a lot of talented young people we can work with next year,” he said.

GN Events was formed in May this year with a view to promoting artistic talent in the City of Kings.
