HARARE Harare International Conference Centre The HICC will come alive tonight when Jamaican dancehall musician, Mr Vegas performs. He will be backed by his band alongside local artists, Guspy Warrior, Ricky Fyah, Final Warning and Jiggaz in the C&A organised gig.

Lime Bar Situated in the Rolf Valley, the Lime Bar will tonight host a “Friday Nite Experience”with Harare’s finest DJs, T-Bass and P-Styles (Bass & Styles). They will be backed by NR Ent.

Stars Studio C&A Entertainment will tonight host an after-party for the Mr Vegas show. DJs Dee Nosh, L Roy, Maxy and Carter will be on the decks taking entertainment to another level.

Club Fiction Located at the Helensvale shopping centre, Club Fiction, recently opened, will tomorrow evening host a Saturday Nite party. DJs T bass and P Styles will be selecting music.

Axiom Tonight, the Miller party will be held at Axiom, located at Sam Levy’s Village in Borrowdale. The party will be held under the “Miller Turn up the Night” theme.

BULAWAYO Bulawayo Art Gallery Tomorrow at midday, the Zimbabwe Academic and Non-Fiction Authors Association, Bulawayo branch, will celebrate the lives and works of authors — the living and those who have passed away. There will also be book readings.

Cape-to-Cairo Mixed genre music group, One Plus One will perform this evening at Cape-to-Cairo from 8:30pm till late.

Nkenyani Bar (Umguza) Obediah “Dr Jah Kanindo” Matulana performs at Nkenyani this evening with his group Jet Sounds. The venue is situated along Nkayi road.

Walkers’ Pub This evening starting at 6 pm, there will be the “Big On Friday Old Skool Show” featuring DJs Joe “Tha OG” and Lacusto.

Mojo (BAC) Tomorrow evening starting at 7:30 pm, there is the traditional “Class of Da 90s”. DJs Mark Vusani and Tony will be playing exclusive classic dance tunes. They will also play ’90s music featuring soul, R&B, hip-hop and dancehall with a touch of deep, vocal as well as ancestral house music. The latest mix-tape CDs by Mark Vusani will also be available during the show.

Jeux d’Anches — Classical Music (Academy of Music) On Monday evening, starting at 7pm, The Alliance Française de Bulawayo in partnership with Eco-Logical Safaris and Travel, will present classic music by Jeux d’Anches featuring Florent Charpentier (clarinet) and Mélanie Brégnant (accordion). Both musicians from France are at the Zimbabwe Academy of Music. Tickets are available at the Academy of Music and Alliance Française de Bulawayo.

Midlands Hotel (Gweru) The late Tongai Moyo’s son Peter stages his first commercial show with Utakataka Express at Midlands Hotel in Gweru. The young musician will be looking forward to carry on with the legacy his father left in sungura music.
