The much-awaited VIP concert featuring Oliver Mtukudzi and Chiwoniso Maraire takes place at 7 Arts Theatre in Avondale tomorrow.
Promoters have priced the gig beyond the reach of many. A single ticket costs $40 for the VIP section and $30 for the rest of the auditorium.
The concert is targeting elite music lovers. “The show is also targeting the few that have often failed to take their families out because of the unsuitability of some venues and shows.
“This will be a perfect environment for executives who want to take their families out. There will be no pushing and shoving that is often associated with live shows,” said Tawanda Chingara spokesperson for Hardcore World Entertainment, organisers of the show.
The organisers recently said a lucky winner would walk away with two return tickets for a holiday in the Seychelles boosting the hype currently characterising the show.
The tickets were made available through partnership with Ethiopian Airways. All ticket holders have the potential to win.
Chingara said they had entered into partnership with Ethiopian Airways to give Zimbabwean music lovers a Christmas present through the sponsored trip.
Euginia Kufakowadya, Ethiopian Airways sales representative, confirmed the donation and said they had made available two economy tickets to the Seychelles.
