HARARE Borrowdale Racecourse

The Borrowdale Racecourse will once again come to life on Saturday with the “Spin City”. It will be a battle of the spinners from South Africa and Zimbabwe.

Back by public demand, the SpinFest will feature lady spinners Nicky and Playgirl alongside Narina, Eric Maswaya and Sunesh, among others. DJs Rax Raydizz, T-Bass and P-Styles (Bass & Styles), Rob Macson and MC Chita will provide music for those who will attend the show. A lot of activities have been lined up for the day.

Platinum Lifestyles Estate

Platinum Lifestyle, which is located in Borrowdale, will tomorrow evening host the Miss Curvy national pageant finale. The event will see various curvaceous women drawn from different parts of the country competing for the Miss Curvy crown. A pre-party for all the models will be held at the Upper Lounge (ex- Liquid Lounge).

Tony’s Nite Spot (Portugal Restaurant-Pensão)

Located at corner Samora Machel Avenue and Eighth Street, Pensão is the place to be for party-loving clubbers. Open-air braai is available 24/7 as well as a wide range of ice-cold beverages.

Friday night and every Friday all-female dance group the Blue Virgins wow revellers their exotic, sensual dance routines. This and every Saturday, tune in for hard dancehall, conscious, lover’s rock, salsa and current club vibes in “Caribbean Nights” with resident DJs Gerry, Slow and Symphk.

Mzansi VIP Lounge

Located at Kamfinsa shopping centre, the Mzansi VIP Lounge will tonight host “The Red Light Friday Party” with DJs Dee Vine, Black Snizzle, Omar and the Platinum DJs on the decks. All revellers will enter the lounge free of charge. Tomorrow, there will be an “Absolut Musik” party with DJs TK Beats and Chill mixing the beats.

Red Fox

The Red Fox, which is located in Greendale, will be packed with activity this weekend. Mic Inity will lead with a performance on Fridaynight followed by a “Colours Party” tomorrow. Judgement Yard will round up the event with their dancehall tunes on Sunday. Lucky revellers will be given free Miller draught beers.

Jazz 105

The restaurant hosts an “All- White Party” on Friday night with Sulumani Chimbetu and Sister Jean. Everyone attending will be required to dress in all white. Chimbetu on Saturday goes to Stodart Netball Complex with Josphat Somanje and Kapfupi

Extra Mile Lesiure Spot

Kireni Zulu performs at the leisure spot near Boka Tobacco Auction Floors on Friday night. He will be supported by DJs Magodada and Bvongo.

Mega Westgate Alexio Kawara, who is riding high with a new album launched last week, will perform at Mega Westgate at Westgate shopping centre on Saturday night.

Lime Bar

Situated in Rolf Valley, the Lime Bar will tonight host a “Friday Nite Experience” with Harare’s finest DJs T-Bass and P-Styles (Bass & Styles). They will be backed by NR Ent.

Tsungubvi Beerhall (Glendale)

After a tour of Matabeleland North, dendera maestro Allan Chimbetu on Friday night travels to Glendale for a show at Tsungubvi Beerhall. On Sunay, he performs at Luxury Hotel in Mount Darwin.

BULAWAYO

Bulawayo Theatre

Internationally acclaimed arts ensemble Siyaya Arts present their breath-taking tale of one boy’s pursuit of the ultimate footballing dream — Zambezi Express. This is a vibrant musical drama in which a boy goes from the back streets of a Zimbabwe township to ultimate triumph in South Africa The musical is on this evening starting at 7:30pm and will run at at the same time on Saturday evening as well as Sunday.

Jabula Inn (Esigodini)

All roads lead to Esigodini on Sunday evening for a date with sungura music great Alick Macheso and Orchestra Mberikwazo. Tryson Chimbetu will be the opening act.

Horizon

Friday night there is the “Turn Up the Night Halloween Miller Party” starting at 8pm. DJs L-Roy (Harare), 4Tune (Gweru) as well as Kead Wikead and Prince from Bulawayo will be behind the decks. DJ Double K will be the MC.

Cape to Cairo

Mixed genre music group One Plus One perform Friday evening at the venue from 8:30 pm till late.

Highway Garage Cocktail Bar (Shangani) This evening, join Obediah “Dr Kanindo” Matulana and Jet Sounds at the cocktail bar featuring the Dancing Queens. The show kicks off at 6 pm. The group returns again on Saturday evening.
