Reigning Miss Zimbabwe 2011 Malaika Mushandu is in England for the Miss World camp. She will represent Zimbabwe at the Miss World finale to be held on November 6 in London.

Mushandu will compete with 122 beauties drawn from different parts of the world. She told NewsDay she was getting to know the models better and was having a pleasant stay in England.

“England is quite a nice place and I am enjoying my stay here. I am getting to know the contestants who I am competing with and raising the country’s flag high,” she said.

Chairwoman of the Miss World Organisation, Julia Morley, addressed the contestants on Saturday in preparation for the pageant.

“Beauty with a purpose is at the core of Miss World. Every beautiful woman must have a purpose, make your time worthwhile,” said Morley.

Current Miss World Alexandra Mills also took time to get acquainted with the models and shared her experiences as the reigning queen.
