HARARE Rainbow Towers Pool Deck One of South Africa’s leading disk jockeys, DJ Cyndo will tomorrow grace the Summer Pool party which will be held at the Rainbow Towers pool deck. DJs Dee Nosh, L Roy and Dee Nice will also be part of the show. The event will double up as Mike Chiyangwa’s birthday party. An after-party will be held at the Stars Studio and DJ Cyndo will be on the decks.

Fiction Night Club Located at the Helensvale shopping centre, Fiction Night Club will officially open its doors to the public tomorrow evening. The event has been dubbed “The Lift-off”. DJs T Bass and P Styles (Bass & Styles) will be the first DJs to play at the club supported by NR Entertainment.

Tony’s Nite Spot (Portugal Restaurant) Located at corner Samora Machel Avenue and Eighth Street, Pensao is the place for party-loving clubbers. Every Friday all-female dance group the Blue Virgins show off their exotic dance routines. This and every Saturday, tune in for hard dancehall, lover’s rock, salsa and club vibes in “Caribbean Nights” with resident DJs Slow and Smooth plus guests.

Hwenje’s Village The new club at Glen Norah B shopping centre officially opens with a show featuring Sulumani Chimbetu, Jean Masters and Real Sounds of Africa, tonight.

Red Fox The Red Fox, located in Greendale, will be packed with activity tomorrow as the venue will host Youngsen aka I Randu’s birthday party. DJ Flevah, Legendary Sound, Presidential Click, Chief J, B.I.G and Papa Lodza are billed to perform at the event.

Mutare Polytechnic (Mutare) Students at Mutare Polytechnic and music lovers in general in the Eastern Highlands city will witness a rare show when Oliver Mtukudzi, Bruce Mpofu and Munya Mataruse perform at the polytechnic tomorrow night.

Eddy’s Kite (Chegutu) Eddys Kite will tomorrow host Leonard Zhakata and Zimbabwe All Stars supported by Jah Prayzah. Club CD (Bindura) Oliver Mtukudzi on Sunday goes back to his roots in Mashonaland Central where he stages a show in Bindura, the gold-mining town where he last performed over a decade ago. Mtukudzi’s rural home is in Madziwa. The show, where Mtukudzi plays with his trio, is set for Club CD in Chiwaridzo starting at 3pm. Munya Mataruse, a prodigy of Mtukudzi groomed at Pakare Paye Arts Centre in Norton, will curtain raise with his Kazevezeve Band.

BULAWAYO Hartsfield Jamaican conscious reggae musicians Cocoa Tea and Fantan Mojah will invade the City of Kings tomorrow evening for a once-off performance at the Lion Lager Summer Beer Festival. Local acts Winky D, Sulumani Chimbetu, Chase Skuza and Jeys Marabini will also perform at the event.

Indlovu Youth Centre This afternoon from 1pm, a number of theatre arts groups such as Imvimbi Arts, Umkhathi Theatre Works, Simunye Simunye as well as poets, will take part in a programme called “Eziko Theatre Laboratory” where they will showcase their latest productions and receive criticism from the audience.

Walkers’ Pub This evening starting at 6pm, there will be the “Big on Friday Old Skool Show” featuring DJs Joe “Tha OG” and Lacusto.

Horizon Tonight, house music disc jockeys, Djembe Monks perform from 7pm. They are back again tomorrow evening at the same time with veteran DJ Kimble Rogers to play a mixed bag of dance music.

Mojo (BAC) Tomorrow evening starting at 7.30pm, will be the traditional “Class of Da 90s”. DJs Mark Vusani and Tony will be playing exclusive classic dance tunes. They will also play 90s music featuring soul, R &B, hip-hop and dancehall with a touch of deep and vocal house music. Latest mix-tape CDs by Mark Vusani will also be available during the show.

Chinotimba Stadium (Victoria Falls) Allan Chimbetu performs at the annual Victoria Falls Beer Festival at Chinotimba Stadium tonight. He is expected to play songs from his upcoming album.
