The Glamis Arena will come to life when Jamaican reggae musicians, Beres Hammond, Fantan Mojah and Cocoa Tea invade the place tomorrow evening for the Lion Lager Summer Beer Festival.

The three will perform with live bands. Winky D, Sulumani Chimbetu, Mic Inity and Transit Crew will warm up the stage for the international acts.

Local DJs Squila, Scott, Chuckie, Vijay and Flevah Flev will compete for top honours on the decks during the DJ clash competition. Power FM DJs Witness Matema, Smiley and Kudzie Marudza will be masters of ceremony at the event.

Tony’s Nite Spot (Portugal Restaurant)

Located at corner Samora Machel Avenue and Eighth Street, Pensao is the place for party-loving clubbers. Every Friday all-female dance group the Blue Virgins show off their exotic dance routines.

This and every Saturday, tune in for hard dancehall, lover’s rock, salsa and club vibes in “Caribbean Nights” with resident DJs Slow and Smooth plus guests.

Ochi City

Oliver “Tuku” Mtukudzi and Energy Mutodi will tomorrow evening perform at the Miss Universities finale after-party.

The finale will see 28 beauties, Bongani Geza, Ntokozo Sithole, Caroline Musarurwa, Blessing Ngowe, Evelyn Gondo, Itai Mutinhiri, Sheena Siamfinya, Nyaradzo Nhongonhema, Chengetai Gunguwo, Rujeko Mushove, Emily Kachote, Mugove Chagonda, Faith Zungunde, Mponeng Ticharwa, Sandra Mariga, Vainah Mukamba, Givens Chavarika, Eve Maposa, Vongai Kureva, Thubelihle Sibanda, Daphene Kuzvidza, Abigail Museza, Grace Tafireyi, Nobuhle Ncube, Nyasha Matare, Christine Muchira, Tanyaradzwa Ngwerume and Sarah Chataura competing for the national crown.

Mutangas Hide Out

Mutangas Hide Out will on Sunday afternoon host a family show which will feature Oliver Mtukudzi. He will be supported by Morgan and Tendai Dembo. DJ Skywalker will be on the decks.

Mzansi VIP Lounge

Located at the Kamfinsa shopping centre, the Mzansi VIP lounge will tonight host the “Lick Fridays” event with DJs Dee Vine, Ronnie Cool, Black Snizzle and Omar.They will be playing “old skool” and contemporary hits. Tomorrow there will be the Swagg Overdrive party with DJs TK Beatz, Smilez, Chill and the Platinum DJs, Nice Tee and Jammie Cee.

Lime Bar

Located at the Rolf Valley, the Lime Bar will tonight host a Miller Genuine Draught activation event with DJs Chucknosis, T Bass and P Styles on the decks. Miller Draught beer will be sold at discounted prices and some lucky revelers will get the beers for free. The event will be held under the “Turn up the Night” theme.

Kuwadzana Beerhall (Banket)

Allan Chimbetu embarks on a tour of Mashonaland West that will see him perform at Kuwadzana Beerhall in Banket tonight and Jongwe Tavern in Chinhoyi tomorrow. He rounds up the weekend with a show at Alaska Beerhall on Sunday.

BULAWAYO Walkers Pub

This evening starting at 6pm, there will be the “Big on Friday Old Skool Show” featuring DJs Joe “Tha OG” and Lacusto. Matshobana Beer Hall Tshibilika musician Obadiah “Dr Kanindo” Matulana will perform this afternoon with Jet Sounds. Fans will sample the group’s latest album, Madliwa. Tomorrow afternoon the musician will perform at the same venue from 2pm.

Join DJs Emity Smooth and Mendoza for an open-air show at the venue tomorrow afternoon from 3pm.

Mojo (BAC)

Tomorrow evening starting at 7:30pm, there will be the traditional “Class of Da 90s”. DJs Mark Vusani and Tony will be playing classic tunes. They will also play 90s music featuring soul, R&B, hip-hop and dancehall with a touch of deep, vocal as well as ancestral house music. The latest mix-tape CDs by Mark Vusani will also be available during the show.

Alliance Française de Bulawayo

Tomorrow afternoon, sculptor Arlington Muzondo, will launch an exhibition entitled “Reflections In Stone” at the venue starting at 2pm.
