AMH scribes scoop 10 NJAMA prizes

NewsDay Senior Parliamentary Reporter, Veneranda Langa, NewsDay’s Gweru correspondent Stephen Chadenga and former NewsDay Business Editor, Munyaradzi Mugowo received runner-up prizes in four categories at the National Journalistic and Media Awards (Njama) held last Friday.

The competition was contested by several journalists throughout the country from both print and electronic media.

Langa emerged runner-up for the best Legal and Parliamentary Reporter of the Year, while Chadenga was a runner-up in the best Health Reporter of the Year category.

Mugowo, who has since left NewsDay, was a runner-up in two categories, the best Insurance Reporter of the Year, as well as the best Mining Reporter of the Year.

Alpha Media Holdings journalists scooped a whooping 10 prizes this year.

Alpha Media Holdings (AMH) chairperson Trevor Ncube congratulated the winners.
