The Afre annual general meeting (AGM) and extraordinary general meeting (EGM) set for Friday has been cancelled.
In our business section, we reported events as they unfolded earlier that industry regulators and Afre had clashed over the holding of the two meetings.
But, in a statement released late Thursday Afre said:
“The Board of Afre wish to announce that the AGM and EGM scheduled for Friday (today) at 10am and 14:00pm have been cancelled at the instance of Zimbabwe Stock Exchange, Commissioner of Insurance and Securities Commission of Zimbabwwe.”
