Music superstar Oliver “Tuku” Mtukudzi is set to perform at Large City Hall in Bulawayo on Friday.

The internationally renowned musician’s manager, Sam Mataure, confirmed Tuku was indeed going to perform in the City of Kings.

“We will definitely be there this Friday (tomorrow). We always want to reach out to Tuku’s fans everywhere in the country,” said Mataure

He said the veteran musician, who has a string of hits spanning decades, had expressed satisfaction with Bulawayo-based promoters.

“Tuku is impressed with the professionalism demonstrated by promoters that side and has indicated he can perform in Bulawayo anytime,” he said.

Mataure also revealed Tuku would be back in Bulawayo again next year for his birthday celebration.

“He turns 60 next year and he has planned to celebrate his birthday with his fans in Bulawayo through music,” he said.

Tuku last performed in Bulawayo in June at the Amphitheatre.

On Friday the Neria, Todii and Tozeza Baba hitmaker will share the stage with dance hall star Winky D.

Bulawayo-based afro jazz musician Majahawodwa “Jeys Marabini” Ndlovu is also expected to perform.
