Jamaican musician Lutan Fyah (real name Anthony Martin), who arrived in the country yesterday, had to spend about 30 minutes at Harare International Airport after a member of his entourage was detained by immigration officials following an altercation with a female flight attendant.

Fyah arrived aboard a British Airways flight and a member of his entourage is said to have had a misunderstanding with the attendant who made a report on arrival, leading to his detention. He was released after apologising.

Robert Zhuwawo, one of the organisers of the event, said the group member was probably overexcited hence his argument with the attendant.

“He made a a comment to an air hostess which she found provocative. She reported the issue to immigration officials after he refused to apologise. He eventually apologised and was freed,” said Zhuwawo.

Fyah will perform at Kebab Centre on September 23.
