Hurudza Tavern

Cheso Power Promotions will this weekend host Alick Macheso and Tryson Chimbetu for a series of shows which kick off tonight at the Hurudza Tavern in Mabvuku. On Saturday they will perform at Tendai Hall in Bindura and their last show will be held at the Ochi City on Sunday.

Book Café

Sudanese hip-hop musician Emmanuel Jal popularly known as War Child will perform during the “Whirlwind Hip-hop Collaboration with Zimbabwe” event at the Book Café on Friday night. Mbira star Chiwoniso Maraire, Comrade Fatso, Outspoken and Chabvondoka are some of the local acts who will also perform at the event.

Dzivarasekwa Sports bar

Sungura artiste Obvious Mutani will have two performances together with Leonard Zhakata this weekend, with the first one taking place today at the Dzivarasekwa Sports Bar on Friday night. On Saturday, the two will take their act to Takarangana night club in Hatcliffe.

City Sports Bar

Tongai “Dhewa” Moyo and Sulumani “Sulu” Chimbetu will on Friday night stage a joint gig at City Sports Bar in the city centre. It will be their first time to share the stage at City Sports Bar. The duo goes to Extra Mile Leisure Spot on Saturday where they will be joined by Munya Mataruse.

Sports Diner International

Allan Chimbetu takes his emphatic dendera beat to Sports Diner International on Friday night while on Saturday he goes to Glen Norah for a show at Nox Sports Bar. Fans will sample the musician’s upcoming songs at the show.

Lime Bar

DJ’s T Bass and P Styles will on Friday night host the “Friday Experience” at the Lime Bar which is located at Rolf Valley. On Saturday evening, The Café will host the DJs for a “High Society’s Saturday” backed by NR Ent.

BULAWAYO

Paparazzi Sports Dinner

This evening, Nu Lite Muzika dance group startS performing at 8pm. On Saturday evening, Exotic Rhumba dancers perform at the venue for the first time.

Waverly Hotel

Ndux Junior, son to the late great musician, Ndux Malax, takes to the stage with his Batshele Brothers Band this evening at the hotel starting at 7pm. Ndux will perform his old songs as well as new ones taken from his latest offering Sekunjalo. Joy-Link Bar (Umguza)

Situated at Queens Mine, the place hosts Obediah “Dr Kanindo” Matulana this evening and his Jet Sounds band. They will also feature dance group, Dancing Queens. They will return to the same venue tomorrow evening.

Kalahari Sports Bar (Beitbridge)

Tonight, Gwanda town-based dance group Ghetto Smurfs perform at the venue. On Saturday evening, there is the “Ladies’ Nite” show featuring DJs Daggera and Cheso. There will be free wine for ladies.

Jabula Inn (Esigodini)

On Friday night dance group Iyasa take to the stage. On Saturday evening, musicians such as Jeys Marabini, Vibe Stars Musica, Samazaza and Constance Maraire will perform as part of a show organised by the Bulawayo Musicians Association at the same venue.

Mojo BAC

On Saturday evening starting at 7pm, there is the traditional “Class of Da ’90s”. DJs Mark Vusani and Tony will be playing exclusive classic dance tunes. They will also play ’90s music featuring soul, R&B, hip-hop, house and dancehall music.
