Esrom Nyandoro has returned to full training and will be available for Mamelodi Sundowns’ next league fixture away against BidVest Wits at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit on Tuesday.

Sundowns spokesman Alex Shakoane said Nyandoro was actively participating in training and available for selection “if the coach wants to pick him”.

The former club captain has yet to play for the club this season after missing the first part of the new campaign because he had returned to Zimbabwe for family matters.

Nyandoro has seen the captaincy of the Brazilians taken by compatriot Method Mwanjali and his position in the centre of midfield taken by Surprise Moriri.

Matthew Pattison has now recovered from injury to also stake a claim for that role on Tuesday.

Neeskens has shaken up the established order at Sundowns since taking over but has not yet seen Nyandoro in a competitive match.

The 31-year-old Zimbabwean is now in his eighth season at Sundowns.

He has made 237 starts, with 14 goals for the club. His honours include two league titles and success in the Nedbank Cup and old-style SAA Supa Eight.
