The Zimbabwe men’s hockey team head coach Bill Birkett on Thursday said the team is getting mentally adjusted as it clashes with one of Africa’s powerhouses Egypt in a 2012 London Olympics qualifier at the Khumalo Hockey Stadium today.

Birkett told NewsDay Sport that the boys were looking forward to the game and were aware they were playing one of Africa’s best.

The Zimbabwe men’s team are in same group as Egypt, Morocco and Ghana in Pool B.

The Zimbabwe team is composed of both experienced players and youngsters. Zimbabwe play another powerhouse Morocco on Sunday in their next match.

Ghana and Morocco will sweat it out in another Pool B match while in Pool A, South Africa play Uganda on Friday.
