Harare Gardens

A total of 10 groups drawn from the country’s provinces will clash for top honours in the Chibuku Neshamwari Traditional Dance Festival to be held on Saturday.

The groups include Budiriro Cultural Arts (Mashonaland West), Umkhathi Theatre Works (Bulawayo), Redwing Mine (Manicaland), Zevezeve (Mashonaland), Black Amakhwezi (Matabeleland North), How Mine (Matabeleland South), Lundi Dance Group (Masvingo), Mangoma Ngaatsve (Mashonaland Central) and Malawi Globe and Phoenix (Midlands).

The group which will come out tops will walk away with $4 000 while the first runner-up walks away with $3 000. The second runner-up will pocket $2 000. Last year’s Chibuku Neshamwari winners, Guruve Marimba from Mashonaland Central will be the guest entertainers at the event. The finals will run concurrently with the Chibuku Bumper Harvest Promotion national draw.

Pamuzinda Open-air

On Friday night the home of open air entertainment presents top DJs Flabba, Mukanya and Taff on the decks with the latest in R&B, soul and old school.

On Saturday Munya Milimo, Mukanya and Munya 777 will be live and in charge from afternoon till late.

Sunday Pamuzinda Open Air presents the After Bhora Party with DJs D-Train, Mukanya and Taff.

Mzansi VIP Lounge

The lounge which is located at the Kamfinsa Shopping Centre will officially be opened on Friday night. DJs Dee Vine, Ronnie Cool, and Black Snizzle will play old school, R&B, hip-hop, house and ragga music.

On Saturday there will be a Single Mingle night with DJs TK Beatz, Smilez, Chill, Nice T, and Jammie Cee will be on the decks.

Every lady will get a free glass of Moet and Chandon on Friday and a glass of Patron on Saturday upon entry.

The Mannenberg

The Mannenberg will spark again on Saturday with an exciting performance of Kenyan African music star Eric Wainaina and his group of six. They will collaborate with Zimbabwe’s Alexio Kawara at a show which promises to be a rich and colourful explosion of music of Africa.

Red Fox

Mic Inity will serenade revellers with his reggae hits on Friday night at the Red Fox. He will be supported by the Madd Vybez band. On Sunday there will be the usual “Mad Sunday” event featuring Judgment Sound, Legendary Sound, Youngsen aka l-randu, and MC Smiley.

Café Noir

On Saturday evening, the Café Noir will host a “High Society Saturday” with DJs T Bass and P Stylez on the decks. They will be backed by NR Ent. Stars Studio

Stars Studio will on Saturday evening present Vijay’s birthday party. DJs Dee Nosh and L Roy will be on the decks.

Eddy’s Kite (Chegutu)

Friday night, there will be a “Live and Level” event with Progress Chipfumo backed by the Sounds of the Motherland band. They will sample their new album titled Huyai Murivazhinji.

BULAWAYO

Mojo (BAC)

On Saturday evening, there will be the traditional, “Class of tha ’90s” jam session featuring Mark Vusani and Tony with a selection of soul, R&B, hip-hop and dancehall with a touch of deep,vocal and ancestral house .

Horizon

Tribal house music DJs, Djembe Monks return to the venue on Friday evening for some hard hitting house music.

Wild Thing Action Bar (Victoria Falls)

Friday night there is the “Pink Friday” show featuring DJ Eazy T. Saturday DJ Francis joins Eazt T for the “Spring Bling”. Eazy T will also be giving away his latest single besides playing raga, R&B, house as well as trance.

Midlands Hotel (Gweru)

Music superstar, Oliver “Tuku” Mtukudzi will perform on Saturday evening together with Sulumani Chimbetu. Dance group, Girls La Musica will also be part of the show.
