President Robert Mugabe’s sister, Bridget, has now spent a year in the intensive care unit (ICU) at Parirenyatwa Hospital.

She was admitted in the ICU in August last year, after she collapsed during the burial of her elder sister, Sabina, at the National Heroes’ Acre in Harare.

Sabina’s son Leo Mugabe told NewsDay on Monday, his aunt was still in the ICU.

“It’s still the same situation.

She, however, appears to be responding well and we are all praying that she gets better,” said Leo.

Bridget is the President’s only surviving sibling.
