A big Sunday is in store in Harare after the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League moved the Caps United-Highlanders from the original Saturday date.
The game had been set for Saturday to avoid a counter attraction to the Dynamos-Gunners match at Larfarge on Sunday, but now the two games will be played on the same day.
Caps and Highlanders clash at the National Sports Stadium.
This was confirmed by Premier Soccer League chief executive Kennedy Ndebele releasing an amended weekend fixture on Thursday.
Two games will now be played on Saturday with moneybags FC Platinum travelling to Bulawayo to face Chicken Inn at Luveve Stadium while Shooting Stars clash with Masvingo at Rufaro Stadium.
On Sunday, besides the two big games, leaders Motor Action will be at White City Stadium against Zimbabwe Saints, Blue Ribbon host Hwange at Rufaro while Shabanie Mine are at home to Monomotapa.
But it is Larfarge and the NSS where focus will be this Sunday with resurgent teams in action. Gunners — back in the limelight under Moses Chunga — are yet to taste defeat since the former Dynamos and Caps United coach took over and maintaining that winning streak would be high on their agenda.
Since taking over last month, Chunga has been victorious five times in addition to two draws while Dynamos last won against Gunners in 2009 — something which weighs heavily against new coach Callisto Pasuwa.

Pasuwa replaced Lloyd Mutasa and has collected six points in his opening two games to lead Dynamos into third place and five points behind joint leaders Motor Action and Platinum, who have 41 points.
Dynamos would have been comfortable playing at Rufaro, but Gunners stuck to their guns on Tuesday, preferring to use their home ground.
“There is one road leading there so we will cordon it off at 2pm as part of efforts to control the crowd. “Gate charges will remain at $3 for the rest of the ground and $10 for the VIP,” said the club’s brand and communications manager Obert Chunga.
For Caps United, it has not been a rosy start for new coach Lloyd Chitembwe after winning one of two games he has been in charge of. Only a win against Highlanders will appease the diehard Green Machine fans.
The former champions have not been lucky against Highlanders this season, having lost twice to Mkhuphali Masuku’s team.
They lost 1-0 in the league at Barbourfields before another 1-0 loss in the quarter-finals of the BancABC Sup8r.
Both goals were scored by skipper Gilbert Banda. Caps chief executive Maxwell Mironga said they will open the gates early to avoid any chaos, but they would only be closed 25 minutes before the end of the match.
