The heavyweight fight between Flo Simba and Thamsanqa Dube will be televised live on SuperSport on Monday night, August 29.

Simba and Dube, a Zimbabwean, meet over eight rounds at Emperor’s Palace, Kempton Park.

Crowd-pleasing Hekkie Budler, Joey Stiglingh and Thabiso Mchunu also feature on the Golden Gloves Promotions bill.

Live coverage of the action will start at 7:30pm on SuperSport 5 and HD 2.

Simba, an exciting young heavyweight who was knocked out by veteran Francois Botha in June, should be confident of beating Dube. If he does so, he may fight former SA junior heavyweight champion Danie Venter less than a month later.

Former IBO junior flyweight champion Budler will drop a division in an effort to win his second IBO title when he faces Filipino Michael Landero for the vacant IBO minimum-weight belt.

Budler will enter the ring with a record of 18-1, including six knockouts. Landero stands at 15-4-4; 5.

Unbeaten junior lightweight prospect Stiglingh takes on the experienced former ABU and SA junior lightweight champion Jasper Seroka in a six-rounder.

Samuel Malinga, a former WBF and SA junior welterweight champion, returns to action after an absence of ten months when he faces Bongo Lipemba over eight rounds.

Mchunu, the unbeaten former SA junior heavyweight champion will have his second fight in the heavyweight division when he meets Zack Mwekassa. The bout is scheduled for eight rounds. —Supersport
