Pacesetters in the Eastern Region Division One football league Buffaloes face an away acid test when they taken on Hippo Valley in Chiredzi on Sunday.

Hippo Valley who are second on the log with 34 points from 14 matches will be looking to reducing the gap between them and log leaders Buffaloes who have 43 points, but have played one game more than their counterparts.

The army side has been so invincible this season, as they are yet to taste defeat, have collected maximum points in 14 matches and drew once.

Buffaloes assistant coach Sicho Masachi said they are going to take the match like any other because all the teams in their league play good football.

“This is like any other game. There is no way we can treat it as a special match for us because all the teams cause an equal threat. They will be fighting for the top position. I think we are well prepared for the match despite injury worries to left-back Kelvin Thembani, midfielder Edwin Shumba, striker Nyarai Masunda and goalkeeper Hope Bere who have to pass late fitness tests,” he said.
