Acting Kiglon coach Pearson Matipedza yesterday declared war on Chicken Inn saying they desperately needed three points as they were in a dangerous position in the log when the two teams clash in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match at Rufaro Stadium this afternoon.

Kiglon are bottom of the 16-team log with 16 points while Chicken Inn is placed fifth on the log with 25 points.

Chicken Inn have gone for six games without a win having lost to 2-1 to Monomotapa while they played a goalless draw against Dynamos before they lost 1-0 to the Harare side. They played goalless draws against Monomotapa and Masvingo United.

Chicken Inn last tasted victory when they dispatched Kiglon 3-1 in the first round of the league matches and they would fancy a repeat.

Kiglon lost 2-0 to Motor Action, lost 2-1 to FC Platinum and picked up two points in goalless draws against Highlanders.

Matipedza yesterday told NewsDay Sport that they want the three points on offer as they want to move up the log standings.

“We want to collect maximum points against Chicken Inn. We are in desperate need of points because we are lying in a precarious position on the log. It is going to be a tough game, but we want to win,” he said.
