Visitors Masvingo United put up a good performance to deny Chicken Inn maximum points as the two sides played a goalless draw in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match at Luveve Stadium yesterday.

Chicken Inn dominated the game, but were let down upfront by the strikers who missed many chances that they could have easily buried.

Masvingo finished the last 20 minutes of the game one man down after Welcome Ndiweni was given marching orders for a second bookable offence.

Coach Saul Chaminuka, who replaced Luke Masomere on Friday, was happy with the result. “We got this result because of teamwork and our fighting spirit. We could have won this match as we created better scoring opportunities but we were taking our shots too hurriedly,” he said.

Chicken Inn coach Philani “Beefy” Ncube was disappointed over the draw at home.

“I am not happy with the result. We overdid things and we played under pressure because we were after an early goal.

“When the early goal did not come pressure mounted on us,” he said.
