Reigning Netball Super League champions Railstars have a busy weekend as they will play three matches in Harare today and tomorrow.

The Bulawayo netball team plays Rainbow today and will feature in two matches tomorrow against Harare Districts and Stanbic Thunder.

Matches against Rainbow and Stanbic Thunder were postponed earlier and the teams have agreed to fulfill the fixtures this weekend. Railstars — the only Bulawayo netball team in the league — are hoping to continue with their superb form that has seen them win 13 games without tasting defeat. They have been dominating in the netball league winning 12 games and earning a walkover against Renaissance.

Organising secretary of the team Khathazile Kulube yesterday told NewsDay Sport they are hoping to maintain their unbeaten record despite inactivity in the league after their games were cancelled.

“We are expecting to walk away with victories in all the games. The girls have been training very hard even though we have not played a league game for the past two weeks we are confident of victory,” she said.

Railstars have beaten Zimbabwe Defence Forces, Chinhoyi Queens, Jazeera Queens and Zimbabwe Republic Police Bindura. They are third on the log standings with 28 points from 13 games.

Nehanda Nyakasikana top the log with 28 points in 15 matches followed by ZPS Tenax who also have 28 points in 17 games. ZPS Tenax have a superior goal aggregate. Nyakasikana have 1049, ZPS Tenax 968 while Railstars have 707 goals.
