Speculation over an imminent relationship between Zimbabwe’s representatives in Big Brother Amplified (BBA) house has ended following Wendall Parson’s clear rejection of Vimbai Mutinhiri’s romantic offers.

Wendall showed Vimbai his other side after he bluntly shook off her persistent advances for them to get into a relationship.

He deemed Vimbai’s behaviour too pressing on him and asked her to stop making suggestive advances after she kept tickling him asking if they could spend time together as she had something to say to him.

He did not give her a chance to express herself, but told her he was not walking down that route anytime soon as he had already been heartbroken.

When the show launched, everyone played nice and got along. Now, with 12 days to go before the sixth edition of Big Brother Amplified wraps up, Africa has seen plenty of bickering and more than a fair share of gossip.

With the BBA finale drawing closer, the tension in the House is palpable. The remaining male housemates have decided to brush the female housemates away as attention turns more to the money.

It remains to be seen if their decision of riding solo will work in their favour or it could be recipe for disaster.

Bernadina, Zeus and Mumba’s hopes of winning the competition this year were shattered as they were evicted from the House on Sunday evening.

This leaves 10 people, Vimbai, Wendall, Karen (Nigeria), Vina (Nigeria), Lomwe (Malawi), Luclay (South Africa), Hanni (Ethiopia), Kim (Zambia), Millicent (Kenya), Sharon O (Uganda) in the running for the two grand prizes of $200 000.

Nevertheless, the remaining housemates are all on edge because none of them knows who will emerge victorious, but viewers are guaranteed of a whole lot more action in the week to come as housemates polish up their strategies and up their game in order to lure votes.

Meanwhile, BBA fans in Zimbabwe gathered at the Liquid Lounge on Sunday evening to celebrate Wendall’s birthday. He turned 24 on July 11.

The event saw members of both the Wendall fan club and the Vimbai fan club uniting in celebration. Urban grooves musician Roki performed at the party.
