Moses “Bambo” Chunga’s coaching career has had many twists and turns of late.

The nomadic coach has hopped from one club to another in pursuit of success, but on most occasions, it has ended in disappointment.

Save for the league glory he tasted with Gunners in 2009, the outspoken gaffer, whose ego is as big as the number of clubs he has coached, has also tried his luck at Shooting Stars and Dynamos, but all has ended in disappointment.

This former Dynamos great player has even crossed the great divide to join Caps United in search of glory, but again to no avail.

Chunga joined Caps United last year for a second time in his coaching career and became a darling to Caps United fans after brilliant victorious displays. However, a sudden turn of events in the fortunes of the club saw the team struggling to get results and the itinerant coach “resigned”.

Chunga last week re-emerged at Gunners as head coach, taking over from Darlington Dodo.

As fate would have it, the former Caps United mentor’s first assignment will be against his former paymasters and for the first time he will face Caps United supporters who masterminded his unceremonious departure from the club.

Today, “Bambo” will battle it out with the Caps United team now coached by Maxwell Takaendesa Jongwe at Lafarge Stadium in what many have said would be sweet revenge if Chunga has his way.

What makes this tie more interesting is while Chunga was leaving Caps United, Gunners’ star player thus far, Ashley Rambanepasi, was heading the opposite direction.

If Chunga wins his first match on Thursday, he would lift his relegation-threatened team who are stuck in second position from the bottom to number 13.

However, Caps United who have added highly-rated midfielder Tendai Samanja in their ranks, should be too hot to handle for Chando Kupisa.

Caps United are seventh on the log with 23 points and a win for them would take them back into the top four.
