With 27 days left before the Big Brother Amplified reality show comes to an end, Zimbabwean representatives Vimbai Mutinhiri and Wendall Parson are guaranteed another 11 days in the house as neither of them is up for eviction from the game this Sunday.

The two are safe from eviction this week and will wait for next Monday’s eviction window to know their fate. In a surprising move, Nigeria’s Karen, who is this week’s Head of house, decided to make herself a pawn for Vimbai’s “salvation”.

As Head of house, Karen had the power to save and replace herself with any of the nominated housemates.

Big Brother asked Karen who she wanted to replace herself with and she looked confused.

Her first target was Sharon O, but Big Brother told her it was impossible to switch with Sharon O as the latter had already been nominated and was up for eviction.

She then said she was going to replace herself with Vimbai, and when Big Brother asked her to confirm her decision, she changed her mind and sacrificed herself instead.

Karen burst into tears when she left the chatroom and the housemates knew she had had a hard time in making the decision. Vina and Millicent consoled Karen, with Vina sharing her experiences when she was head of house.

“At least you had a wide range of housemates to choose from unlike me as I had no option but to save myself and put Felicia in my place. She was the only housemate who had not been nominated,” said Vina.

Karen said she thought all the housemates deserved to take the money home and it was not up to her to determine who should not be the last man or woman standing in the house.

This means the housemates who are up for possible eviction from the BBA house this Sunday are Alex (Ghana), Peo (Botswana), Sharon (Uganda), Weza (Angola), and Karen.

Meanwhile, housemates heaved a huge sigh of relief Sunday evening when it turned out none of them would be evicted, at least for now.
