The agent involved in Knowledge Musona’s proposed move to Bundesliga side Hoffenheim has denied reports that the Kaizer Chiefs’ striker was due to depart for Germany on Tuesday night.

The 20-year-old Zimbabwe international has been the subject of firm interest from the team that finished 11th in last season’s Bundesliga table, with Amakhosi team manager Bobby Motaung revealing last week they are prepared to allow him to leave.

And agent Mike Makaab of ProSports International confirms that while Hoffenheim are keen to take a closer look at Musona, the winner of last season’s Professional Soccer League top-scorer award is still awaiting his visa to travel to Europe.

“He’s definitely not going to Germany today (Tuesday),” says Makaab.

“There is no real progress at this point in time but we are just waiting for the visas to be sorted out. As it stands now, the intention is for him to go to Hoffenheim on trial but it is important that we get finality from them in the next few days as well.”

Reports suggest that AmaZulu’s Lehlohonolo Majoro has already been lined up as Musona’s replacement at Naturena, with the Zimbabwean set to join a host of other African players already on Hoffenheim’s books if he makes the move.
