Reigning netball Super League champions Railstars will be looking for their tenth straight victory when they play Chaminuka in the elite league in Harare on Saturday.

The Bulawayo side has won all nine games they have played home and away to date.

Organising secretary of the team Khathazile Kulube on Thursday told NewsDay Sport they are looking for nothing else but victory in their away assignment.

“We are going to Harare for a straight win. We want to score more than we did when we played Shamva as we want to catch up with log leaders Nehanda Nyakasikana.

“They have scored more points although they have played more games than us,” she said. Railstars beat Shamva 70-13 in their last league match at Raylton Sports Club last Saturday.

“We want to retain the Super League championship. We are training very hard and we are working as a team. The team is very dedicated and that will help us achieve our goal,” she said.

The team comprises goal defender Daphine Agere, wing attacker Melody Ncube while Zanele Ngwenyama, who used her height to advantage to crush Shamva, is goal attacker. Pauline Jani is goal shooter while Jerita Mushunye plays the wing defender’s position.

Railstars recorded victories after beating Zimbabwe Defence Forces 39-23 before they edged Harare Districts 39-19. They have also won against Chinhoyi Queens 75-20.

Both games were played away from home.
